With the restrictions placed upon people and businesses across Australia, one area that has been particularly hard hit is the arts sector with thousands of people currently out of work until the pandemic passes.

The Victorian Government is stepping up to help preserve jobs in the state’s independent creative and cultural sector while keeping Victorians connected.

Two Shepparton organisations, Kaiela Arts and Shepparton Arts Festival are among 100 organisations across the state to be included in the $13 million rescue package.

The fund will help these organisations to stabilise, continue their operations and keep people employed, commission local artists to develop new works, and deliver programs for their communities.
