Talent on show at cup

Last Wednesday, February 26 saw the fifth Goulburn Valley Harmony Cup at Princess Park in Shepparton. The day saw teams from across the region compete to see who would take home the Harmony Cup and medals.

Hosted by Shepparton Youth Club United Cricket Club, the GV Harmony Cup is for people in the Goulburn Valley with any type of disability, of any age or gender and aims to get young people onto the pitch and having a go.

Special guests included players from the Melbourne Renegades and Stars, and players from the all abilities Taverners Australia team.

Taverners Australia player, Lachie Mcrae said, “There was some real talent out on the pitch which was great to see. But it’s really just nice to see young people getting outside and just having a go.”

Bendigo SDS defeated the GV Wallabies to take home the cup, however Verney Road managed to score the highest score of the day.
