The Boyz are still in town

IT’S amazing how the kebab has become an integral part of Australian cuisine.

It shouldn’t be a surprise, though. You put slow-cooked lamb or chicken, garlic sauce and fresh salad in a soft wrap and you’re going to put smiles on faces.

There’s something comforting about holding a fresh, warm kebab, wrapped in foil so perfectly tight it’s like a freshly-tucked hotel bed.

Down in Kialla, one family operation has been wrapping kebabs for 11 years.

The Kebab Boyz – twins, Omer and Timmy Aktas – are the boys behind some of the most popular kebabs in Shepparton.

They said they’ve had repeat customers since they moved into Riverside Plaza. That kind of loyalty means something in the kebab world, where everyone and their dog has an opinion of where the ‘best’ kebabs are.

Kebab Boyz is located in Riverside Plaza, Kialla, and can be reached on (03) 5823 1100. The Boyz are all over Menulog, too. And if you’re out Benalla way, don’t despair – the pair run an operation on 54C Carrier Street.
