THERE’S nothing quite like picking up a book, physically flicking through the pages and soaking up that unique book smell. The nostalgic joy and physical sensation of reading a real book is something a Kindle or e-Book cannot replicate and the staff from Collins Booksellers has noticed many avid readers recently returning to the cherished original form.

Having proudly worked at Collins Booksellers for nearly a dozen years and witness to much change throughout that time, owners Joe and Helen Sofra have kept the region reading through a rollercoaster time for the business – an absolutely admirable feat!

Their humble Maude Street store has remained fully stocked throughout the years, adapting with the times and adjusting what’s in stock to suit customer’s needs.

Just in time for Mother’s Day, the current Collins’ catalogue is stocked with great ideas to treat mum; from hard-cover cookbooks, through to the latest best-sellers in fiction.

“We are noticing more and more that people are returning to books from the world of e-Books,” Helen explained, “There’s just something about the feel and look of an actual book that keeps people returning.

“Thanks so much to all of our customers who have supported us over the years and a big Happy Mother’s Day to all the mums out there.”

Consider giving mum the gift of reading this Mother’s Day and call in to Collins Booksellers at 262 Maude Street, Shepparton, or give the store a call on 5822 2679.
