Photo: Alicia Zeqir.POPULAR local lifestyle village, Kensington Gardens in Shepparton has welcomed a fresh new face, namely, their newly appointed Manager well known local businessman, Peter Stanbrook.
Peter joined the team on June 6 and says that Kensington Gardens offered him an opportunity for a well deserved change in career, which he simply couldn’t refuse.
“The tour alone sold me, what Kensington offers the residents and the overall concept is something I really believe in. It’s such a fantastic lifestyle opportunity and after having had the opportunity to speak with the residents here, my choice was clear.”
A builder by trade and after 25 years operating his own business in the car trade here in Shepparton, Peter said that Kensington Gardens not only gives him an opportunity to reconnect with an industry which he loves so much, but to also utilise his business management skills in an entirely new arena.
“I’ve found my background has made my transition very easy, I’m enjoying supervising construction onsite and one of the main highlights for me is the opportunity to deal one on one with the residents during and after construction of their new homes, it’s very rewarding.”
When looking towards the future, Peter said even though he’s just begun with Kensington Gardens he hopes, in his time, to see the estate grow to its full potential of 300 residential homes.
“Unfortunately I can’t live here yet, but I plan on being here for quite some time.”
In summing up, Peter said, “Belief and passion is the most important aspect of enjoying the work you do and I certainly have that with Kensington Gardens. I feel very privileged to be here.”
