With over 15,000 gifts collected in the Woolworths Shepparton East and Archer Street stores alone, this year’s appeal, which runs in conjunction with the Community Fund Goulburn Valley, will have full support of Shepparton Marketplace and Shepparton Show Me.
Woolworths Customer Service Manager, Sue Johnson said, “We made a big impact on the community last year.
“This year we’re hoping to knock the socks off of last year’s efforts and with the help of the Shepparton Marketplace and Shepparton Show me I think we really can achieve that.
“This is certainly a much needed service in the community,” Sue said.
Member of the Board of Community Fund Goulburn Valley, Michael Sayer said, “The Community Fund Goulburn Valley is pleased local organisations have banded together to create local Giving Trees where all of the gifts given, will be distributed in our local community to some of our most vulnerable citizens.
“We urge local people to get into the true Christmas spirit and give a gift to a local family doing it tough this Christmas,” Michael said.
To make a donation, drop into the Shepparton Marketplace, Woolworths at the Shepparton Marketplace, on Archer Street in Shepparton or on McLennan Street, Mooroopna, as well as in the Shepparton Show Me shopfront in the Maude Street Mall and place an unwrapped gift under the tree.
