Tigers to roar into town

THE Richmond Football Club is set to roar into town in early March, holding a range of visits and activities before taking part in the Jardine Lloyd Thompson Match at Deakin Reserve against Melbourne as part of their 2019 AFL Community Camp.

Players will conduct visits to GV Health and activities in the Maude Street Mall across Friday, March 1 and Saturday 2, as well as an open training session on Saturday before their match on Sunday, March 3.

One of the big highlights of the two-day camp is always the Official AFL Community Camp Function with Richmond players and officials, which will be held at lunchtime on Saturday 2 at the FJ Edwards Room (Shepparton Football Netball Club Social Rooms), offering fans the opportunity to dine and interact with their heroes.

The event will allow fans to participate in raffles and auctions on the day with proceeds going to the development of local football in the region. There will also be a rare opportunity for fans to meet and eat a meal with their favourite players.

Tickets to the Richmond AFL Community Camp Official Function are $70 per person and can be purchased at www.aflgoulburnmurray.com.au/tigers-on-the-prowl or the AFL Goulburn Murray Office (cash, cheque only).

A full schedule will be released closer to the weekend.
