MARK your calendars for April 6 as the GOTAFE Goulburn Valley League football and netball storm back into action. GVL board chair Jacqui Hudgson said she is thrilled to see some night games scheduled in the early part of the season and the return of Interleague action.

“After a successful season in 2023, we are eagerly looking forward to the return of football and netball in 2024,” she said. ANZAC Round hits Round 4, Interleague clashes on May 25 against Ovens & Murray League, and ‘Say No to Violence’ Round ignites in Round 7, with Indigenous Rounds on Rounds 12 and 13.

“We will play host the Ovens & Murray League next year and will see Seniors & Under 18 teams compete in football and Open, 17 & Under and for the first time, 15 & Under compete in the netball. This is another great opportunity for players to represent their League,” said Hudgson.

Senior football coaches have been appointed for 2024. Hudgson welcomed Sam Reid (Echuca) as head coach, partnering with Mark Lambourn, saying that the board is pumped for their Interleague plan.

GVL is also pleased to announce a partnership extension with ONE FM Shepparton Radio. Each week you’ll be able to tune into football games, live on air right through the 2024 home and away season, as well as Finals action.
