AFTER a two-year hiatus, the 2022 White King – Pental Triple M Business Excellence Awards will conclude with a much-anticipated Gala Dinner on Friday, December 9.

The original date was postponed due to flooding across the region, and the venue has been changed to the GV Hotel Cabaret Room, 223 High Street, Shepparton.

All nominees of the 2021 and 2022 White King – Pental Triple M Business Awards, as well as friends, family and the wider community, will celebrate 25 years of recognising local business excellence.

Each of the finalists are eagerly awaiting who will be named victors of each of the categories, and who will come out on top as this year’s Hall of Fame business winner.

Shepparton Chamber of Commerce and Industry executive officer, Tracy Lyle, and the Chamber board are excited to celebrate alongside the nominees.

“This year we received 200+ nominations, a positive indication for the business awards because it highlights that our nomination processes are reaching all across ‘Greater Shepparton’ and a testament to the camaraderie and fortitude of our entire business community,” said Tracy.

“It is wonderful to see businesses being recognised for the fantastic work they do. There is solid competition across all categories, especially the entrepreneur of the year award, young professional of the year award categories and we had a record number of nominations in the best new business of the year category.”

There is a multitude of organisations which work together to bring the awards to our community each year.

“Our partners, 95.3 Triple M, WIN TV and The Adviser have been amazing with their coverage and advertising of the Awards, we are also appreciative of the ongoing support received from Shepparton Club, WDEA Works, Harvey Norman Shepparton, Greater Shepparton City Council, Tourism Greater Shepparton (which has recently been rebranded Destination Goulburn Valley), Greater Shepparton Business Centre, the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, GOTAFE, GV Health, La Trobe University, NBN Co. and Greater Shepparton City Council Environmental Department,” said Tracy.

“It was also fantastic to see that White King-Pental came on board again this year. It shows their dedication to the local business community. This will be their final business awards, and we thank them for seven wonderful years of support.”

Since 2015, White King-Pental have been a major sponsor of the awards.

“Being a part of this initiative has afforded White King-Pental the opportunity to be a driving force behind encouraging local commerce and industry to reach new heights. As a local, yet large entity, we believe considering the wider community in our business decisions is imperative to working towards the greater good,” reflected White King – Pental site manager, Carmine Conte.

“It’s been an honour to play such a large part in these awards and we are sad our time has drawn to a close. Our collaboration has even encouraged a sense of pride amongst our employees, a big reason why we are an employer of choice in our region.”

This year’s Gala Dinner is shaping up to be the best year yet, a combination of the calibre of nominees, an inability for the event to go ahead in recent years and the combined efforts of our business community as one entity.

“On behalf of the Shepparton Chamber of Commerce and Industry I would like to wish all the nominees the best of luck and look forward to seeing them all at the Gala Dinner,” said Tracy.
