GREATER Shepparton’s push to attract new businesses and jobs has received a $2 million boost, with the Victorian Government funding set to help progress the next stage of GV Link Enterprise Park. Greater Shepparton City Council welcomed the investment, which will fund critical infrastructure needed to prepare additional industrial lots for development and attract future business investment. Mayor Geoff Akers said the funding was a major vote of confidence in the region’s economic future, with demand for industrial land continuing to grow. Council will now progress detailed design work for Stage 2 and seek expressions of interest for the remaining lots to better understand industry demand. The expansion is expected to create opportunities for business growth, freight and logistics investment, and employment across Shepparton and the wider Goulburn Valley.
