THE Shepparton Farmers’ and Specialty is back after a successful first market day on Anzac weekend.
The next market will be on Saturday May 22 from 8:30am until 2:00pm at the Shepparton Show Grounds, entry is a gold coin donation and there is limited onsite parking for $2 per vehicle.
At the market a small Cystic Fibrosis fundraising group will be present.
The group started several years ago when about 10 members of an extended family took part in in the ’64km for Cystic Fibrosis Walk’ in Melbourne.
They call themselves the CF Spartans, (Team Benning), in honour of family members Jacko and Kira Benning who have Cystic Fibrosis.
In the past the group have raised much needed funds for research and clinical improvements by asking friends and families for sponsorship with ‘The Walk’, running stalls, raffles and a hugely successful High Tea.
On Saturday, there will be a seafood raffle where you can win $200 worth of seafood from the Fresh and Cooked Tasmanian Gourmet Seafood Food Truck. Tickets are $2 each or three for $5. Fresh seafood from Tasmania will also be at the market on Saturday for sale. Please note the raffle tickets will be available at the market gates and the cystic fibrosis stall only.
