While the opening is still a couple of months away, MOVE, the Shepparton automotive museum has completed the major phase of construction and is now undergoing final touches before the display of vehicles can be brought back in.
Interested locals and sponsors were provided a walk through the redeveloped centre over the past week.
More than double the size of the previous museum, in addition to the vehicle display, the building houses the Loel Thompson Collection of an extended display of everyday fashion through the ages, dating back to the First Fleet.
With the redevelopment, space has been allocated for holding receptions and events in conjunction with the other hospitality venues at Emerald Bank.
Work began on the $5.3M redevelopment in September last year at the height of the COVID pandemic with support from the Victorian Government and the Greater Shepparton City Council.
The official opening will be held on August 18 with public admission occuring soon after.
