AGED Care Employee Day, on August 7, gives us the chance to recognise the invaluable work people in aged care settings do every day.
The awareness day recognises the more than 360,000 people across Australia who provide around the clock care to aged people in both clinical and non-clinical roles.
Goulburn Valley Health Community Care and Mental Health Executive Director Joshua Freeman said it was important to celebrate each and every aged care team member.
“Whether it’s staff at Parkvilla in Tatura, Waranga Health in Rushworth, Grutzner House in Shepparton, the Community Interlink home care team or the Transition Care Program teams, they play a vital role in caring for our aged residents across the Goulburn Valley,” he said.
“It takes a passion and dedication to work in aged care, especially during a trying time such as the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I hope you’ll join me in thanking everyone who contributes to the care of our aged care residents.”
