ROADSIDE grass from along almost 2,000KM of rural sealed road will be slashed in order to increase visibility and maintain road safety throughout Campaspe Shire.
Due to significant spring growth and high moisture content, the time to complete the slashing will undoubtedly be extended.
“Roadside slashing is one of our most important annual undertakings,” said Acting General Manager Infrastructure, Daniel Basham.
“Our road maintenance teams are out and about, getting around to rural sealed roads and ensuring the safety of local motorists. Our fire break slashing program is also scheduled to start in early November. This entails works along select rural gravel roads and sealed roads with the intention of reducing potential fire risk.”
