OVER 100 organisations have been awarded a share of $1.25M in grants thanks to the Westpac Foundation, including Shepparton-based arts organisation, Kaiela Arts.
Kaiela Arts has been awarded a $10,000 grant as they provide an important outlet for local Aboriginal artists and the community to connect to the culture. The organisation empowers future generations and provides employment opportunities at their Shepparton Gallery for people in need.
The organisations selected to receive funds have been recognised for helping Australians become job-ready through education, training, and employment opportunities within their communities.
“Westpac Foundation has kindly supported Kaiela Arts in recent years. We are really grateful to be a recipient of Westpac Foundation’s Community Grant. It will assist us in training our staff, and support our team as we move into the year that is unknown,” said arts business manager from Kaiela Arts, Angie Russi.
“The grant will also help to maintain engagement with our artists by continuing an interesting and nourishing program of learning and growth opportunities for them.”
