AS reported through the Federal Department of Health, Shepparton is amongst the highest vaccinated population in the state with 92.9 percent of the eligible community having received their second dose of the Covid vaccine and has the third highest number after Geelong and Warnambool.
Getting nearer to the state targets of 90 percent vaccination, health departments have stopped providing daily reports on the pandemic and are now looking at the next phases as we move forward towards recovery.
Shepparton is still recording a high number of cases of people testing positive (although numbers have not been advertised and these are largely among those unvaccinated) but this has not stopped those who are vaccinated from beginning to enjoy life again.
Cafe’s are open, shopping is back to normal and events can now be planned.
State restrictions however will limit these events to those people who are double vaccinated.
