THE Goulburn River has some incredible fishing locations around our region, and it is a great spot to relax with a rod and the family.
This school holidays there have been many people spotted out and about on our beautiful banks, catching lots and lots of Murray Cod.

“I have been fishing almost every afternoon in Murchison this school holidays and I have definitely found my own little spot. I’m totally hooked on river fishing, its relaxing and the serenity is just so peaceful, the best part though is the number of Cod I have reeled in with the biggest about 55cm’s,” said fifteen-year-old Jesse Carmody.

If you are heading out to do some fishing in our waters make sure if you are over the age of eighteen you have a recreational fishing license. They can be obtained for a three day to a three-year period from https://vfa.vic.gov.au/recreational-fishing/fishing-licence
