
2022 is shaping up to be a big year for the South Shepparton Community Centre. The team is looking forward to moving into their new premises at Vibert Reserve once it is complete. This new building is being constructed by Shepparton Council and has been purpose designed for the use of the Community Centre.
In addition to this, they have welcomed board members Nora McCarthy and Monique Gibson. They will be joining Mheganne Lumsden, president, Glenn Turner, vice president, Gail Tulloch, secretary, Bernadette Bradd, treasurer, Neil Lumsden, assistant treasurer, Judy Mills and Val Roberts.
South Shepparton Community Centre has served the community for 36 years and the new building will enable their vital work to continue. The centre assists people to get back into the workforce by offering pre-accredited learning courses based on needs in the real world.
“Everyone is always welcome at the South Shepparton Community Centre. Come along and join a group, take a course, or just hang out with a cuppa and a chat in our friendly chill out room, which is warm in winter and cool in summer. Our staff and volunteers would love to see you and have a chat,” said President, Mheganne Lumsden.
