IT’S time to put pedal to the metal and strain on the chain because the annual Australian Tractor Pull Championships is back Easter Saturday for the 44th year running.

Quambatook, near Kerang in the state’s north-west, is the only permanent purpose-built tractor pulling complex in Australia, and this event is known to pull huge crowds for the impressive display of machinery. The track is renowned as a great course for competitors and spectators alike, and the event is a day full of entertainment on and off the track.

Pulling commences at 1pm with the vintage and 2WD farm tractors. From 3.30pm, spectacular modified tractors and trucks show what they’ve got, followed by an evening tea break and the opportunity to explore activities off the course, and to watch the Paul Bennet Airshow take to the skies. Following the tea break, the action will ramp up again until 10pm.

The Australian Tractor Pull Championships are held at Quambatook Tractor Pull Complex on Easter Saturday, April 16. Follow them on Facebook for up-to-date information. To learn more, phone Tim Betson on 0428 377 342 or Doug Carroll on 0428 510 276.
