NAME: RIKKIE-LEE TYRELL
PARTY: ONE NATION

QUESTION 1: In your opinion, why are you the best representative for Nicholls?
I offer an honest, no bs, straight to the point representative for the people of Nicholls. I have the backbone and tenacity to actually do this and put people before politics.
QUESTION 2: What are the main issues facing the electorate right now?
The cost of living, housing crisis, mandates forcing people out of work and poor water legislation driving our farmers off the land.
QUESTION 3: What is your opinion of the Murray-Darling Basin Plan (MDBP)?
The MDBP has diminished our agricultural industry, irrigation communities and economy to alarming rates. The Plan needs a complete overhaul. One Nation has recently released our MDB Policy, detailing extensively the amendments needed to save our region.
QUESTION 4: What is your vision for Nicholls?
My vision is to see Nicholls reach its fullest potential with a fair system for all equally, this is the One Nation goal.

PARTY: AUSTRALIAN CITIZENS PARTY

QUESTION 1: In your opinion, why are you the best representative for Nicholls?
Because I would fight for a Post Office Savings Bank to guarantee public banking services to all, to ensure cash availability, guarantee deposits and support local farms and small businesses.
QUESTION 2: What are the main issues facing the electorate right now?
Inflation and cost of living, affordable housing, public health care services and the debt burden for farmers, small businesses and mortgagees, to be made worse by rising interest rates.
QUESTION 3: What is your opinion of the Murray-Darling Basin Plan (MDBP)?
It has inflated the price of water allowing speculators to profit at the expense of farmers and cost of food production. The Citizens Party would return water rights to farms.
QUESTION 4: What is your vision for Nicholls?
Establish a National Development Bank so our local (and state and federal) governments can access cheap credit for much needed infrastructure projects and to create meaningful, local jobs

PARTY: INDEPENDENT

QUESTION 1: In your opinion, why are you the best representative for Nicholls?
I will be more effective at getting results than a party representative. I will be a strong independent voice on local issues, and hold a strong negotiating position within a tight parliament.
QUESTION 2: What are the main issues facing the electorate right now?
Health is a critical issue as we enter a health workforce crisis, especially GPs. Aged care needs fixing. Our mobile and internet coverage isn’t up to scratch, and water policy continues to be a mess.
QUESTION 3: What is your opinion of the Murray-Darling Basin Plan (MDBP)?
The Plan has not worked as intended, having a negative effect on our communities, economy and environment. We should re-assess and accept a different approach is needed.
QUESTION 4: What is your vision for Nicholls?
My vision for Nicholls are communities that are prosperous, happy and full of people reaching their potential in life. We have equal access to services and infrastructure.
