VICTORIAN Seniors Month is in full swing with an array of free and low-cost activities for older Australians. Toolamba Lions Club once again joined in the celebrations by hosting a ‘Toe-Tapping Light Lunch’ on October 7.
More than 80 guests come along on the day and enjoyed a delicious lunch, plus the opportunity to win a lucky door prize.
Local band The Splinters played a selection of old favourite tunes getting many toes tapping and bringing a few eager dancers out onto the floor. Residents from some of the local aged care facilities enjoyed the outing and the chance to catch up with old friends. The Toolamba Lions were very grateful to the local volunteers who provided scones and sausage rolls and who helped out on the day.
