THE Shepparton Art Museum (SAM) is delighted to announce the two artists selected for its 2026 programs: SAM Selects and SAM Spotlight. Following an open call and application process that attracted 23 submissions, these artists will bring fresh and inspiring perspectives to the Hugh D.T. Williamson Community Gallery.

In March 2026, Fran O’Neill will present On the Move, a dynamic exhibition of large-scale abstract oil paintings as part of SAM Selects.

Later in 2026, SAM Spotlight will feature Simeon Ayres, an emerging artist from the Strathbogie Ranges. Ayres will develop Bringing Odysseus Home, a new project exploring Homer’s Odyssey through the lens of our region, supported by SAM’s resources and expertise.
