Northern Victorian MP Wendy Lovell has slammed the State Government for failing to fully fix Echuca Road and leaving dangerous potholes unrepaired. A constituent who drives along Echuca Road from Mooroopna daily recently contacted Ms Lovell, reporting that the road surface near the Lancaster turn-off is deteriorating, with crumbling edges and dangerous potholes growing larger by the day.

There are paint markings around the potholes waiting for repair that have worn off and been repainted three times in the last 18 months, Lovell said, yet repairs have not yet eventuated. The issue has since been raised in Victorian Parliament, with Lovell calling on the Minister for Roads and Road Safety to order immediate repairs.
