SHEPPARTON East Primary School students will get some hands–on woodworking experience thanks to a generous donation of $17,00 from the Peter and Maria Copulus Foundation.

“Peter’s support enabled the construction of this facility, and the completion of the equipment will fit out the purchase of the workbenches that will serve generations of students,” said SEPS Principal Les Walsh.

“Peter’s contribution is an investment in our students, their learning, and their futures. It is a gift that will create opportunities for young people to develop practical skills, confidence, and a sense of achievement for many years to come. Peter, your generosity, community spirit, and belief in the value of education have led to a lasting legacy on Shepparton East Primary School.”

The new workshop will enable students to learn practical skills from Shepparton Men’s Shed volunteer Gary Gray that they can use for a lifetime, something Peter Copulus is passionate about.

“I think the more you learn about how to do things in the building side, the better you’ll be in life. Having a good education is so important in today’s world. So, what I say to you today is use your education and keep learning,” said Peter.

The project was also supported by the Greater Shepparton Lighthouse Project, CMC Electrical, Jesse Vella Builders, All Sheds, All Storage Systems, and Bunnings Shepparton with gift cards, time, skills, and donations.
