GOULBURN Valley Pride will celebrate its 21st birthday in style on Saturday, July 4, with a special Rainbow Glam Gala in Kialla.
The local charity was established in 2005 to provide a safe, peer-led, social-support space for the Goulburn Valley’s LGBTIQ+ community.
GV Pride Treasurer Damien Stevens-Todd said he was proud of what the social enterprise had achieved in the time since it’s inception.

“It’s amazing to have seen the group evolve from some passionate individuals gathering around a kitchen table, to an organisation that offers a huge range of services, workshops, advocacy programs, and events to people of all ages, genders and sexualities,” said Damien.
“GV Pride is among the oldest continuous regional pride organisations in Victoria and has really led the way for similar groups across the state.”
The Rainbow Glam Gala will feature live music and performances from LGBTIQ+ artists from the Goulburn Valley and neighbouring areas, including Mieke, a queer singer/songwriter, Polly Filla, PizzAzz Jackzon and Kandy Jackzon, entertainers and passionate community ambassadors who continue to use the art of drag to inspire, uplift, and unite audiences, DJ Tonky on the decks, a photobooth, a local queer history display and much more.
The Gala will be held at the Woolshed in Kialla with a “bring the rainbow glam” theme. Tickets will include a two-course meal and a free drink on arrival. We have sponsored tickets for LGBTI+ people 50yrs+ and concession tickets available so no-one misses out!
People can learn more about the event and get their tickets through the GV Pride website: https://gvpride.org/event/rainbowgala/.
