KYABRAM’S Warramunda Village has been named a finalist in two categories of the 2026 Ageing Australia National Awards, which will be announced on Aged Care Employee Day, Friday, August 7.
Warramunda Village has been shortlisted in the Project Team category for the delivery of its major internal redevelopment, while its Support at Home Community Care service has been named a finalist in the Innovation Team category.
The Project Team nomination recognises the village’s significant redevelopment, which will increase residential capacity from 82 to 100 residents by mid-2027.
Chief Executive Officer John Clark said the recognition reflected the outstanding work of a team that had delivered a major building project without disrupting the care provided to residents.
“This nomination recognises our entire Warramunda family, not just the members of our Project Control Group or Community Care. By the time the next stage is completed (June 30, 2027), we will have added 18 rooms, a new allied health facility, entrance and an improved administration area.”
Warramunda Village has also announced it will join Kyabram’s 150th anniversary celebrations in late October by opening its doors to the community for the first time since COVID.
