MORE than 15 years ago, Rachel Nugent started Shepparton Conveyancing Services from a garage she had converted into an office. Today, the business operates from its established Wyndham Street premises, providing personalised, face-to-face conveyancing services.
Having worked in the industry for most of her career, Rachel has seen conveyancing evolve from a traditionally male-dominated field to one that is increasingly female-orientated.
Opening the Wyndham Street office remains one of her proudest milestones, reflecting the growth of a business built on personal service.
“We try to keep the files personalised,” Rachel said, with the team focused on making the often stressful process of buying or selling property as straightforward as possible.
The business keeps up with industry changes through the Conveyancing Institute, while normal office hours help the team maintain a healthy balance between work and family.
Shepparton Conveyancing Services also supports the local community through sponsorships of Congupna Football Club, St Mel’s Netball and Soccer Club and Cosgrove Golf Club.
Rachel admits business ownership can be challenging and stressful, but says the rewards make it worthwhile.
“It is certainly not easy, but at the end of most days it is rewarding.”
