Communities across Shepparton and the Goulburn Valley are deeply concerned following the serious incident involving Independent MP Helen Haines in Wangaratta on Monday afternoon. The 65-year-old independent MP was struck by a Toyota LandCruiser outside her electorate office and remains in critical condition in a Melbourne hospital. A 43-year-old man has been arrested as police investigate. Our thoughts are with Helen, her family and the regional communities she represents.
