Young artists in Shepparton are set to benefit from a major investment in arts education, with All Saints Anglican School expanding its specialist facilities to give students more opportunities to explore their creativity close to home.
The new extension will include a large visual arts studio, a woodwork studio, two performing arts rooms, including a dedicated dance studio, and three additional laboratories.
Principal Jim Laussen said the facilities would provide students with specialist learning spaces the school had not previously been able to offer.

“It’s giving students rigorous specialist classrooms that we have not had before,” he said.
“We’re so happy to be able to provide beautiful spaces where children can continue to learn and foster their love of learning.”
Mr Laussen said access to quality arts facilities was particularly important in regional communities, allowing young people to pursue their interests without having to travel to Melbourne.
“It’s very important to have specialist facilities here so students can stay here in the communities they’ve grown up in instead of travelling to Melbourne,” he said.
He said the school encouraged every student to embrace creativity, regardless of recognition or accolades.
As the school grows, it also hopes to use a small gallery space to create opportunities for surrounding schools to exhibit their students’ artwork.
The development is set to benefit not only All Saints students, but help nurture the next generation of creative talent across the Shepparton region.
