A HANDFUL of Mooroopna businesses took part in Community Reading Day on Tuesday, August 25. Opening their space to read stories to kindergarten and school children.
Flourish on McLennan, Hydie Blooms, Taste of Capri, Paul Wickham Pharmacy, Cardamone Real Estate, Youngs & Co Real Estate and Our Place read stories to children from Mooroopna Families & Children Centre, Apple Blossom Child Care, 54 Reasons Kindergarten, Undera Kindergarten, Rodney Neighbourhood Kindergarten, Mooroopna Primary School and Mooroopna Park Primary School.

Michelle from Flourish on McLennan read Macca the Alpaca and the Big Red Tractor to the children.
“Last year I got to read Bluey. And I didn’t know anything about Bluey. They actually told me how the story went because they’d all seen the TV show. They’re entertaining the kids. It’s fun. It’s good to be part of something with the kids,” said Flourish owner Michelle.
