LOCAL Container Deposit Scheme (CDS) depots, operated by FOOTT, have been making waves in the community. Three months since their launch, they continue to break records, with their biggest day ever recorded recently.
FOOTT’s CDS Vic depots in Shepparton, Benalla, Yarrawonga, and Cobram have been processing hundreds of thousands of eligible cans, bottles, and tetra paks every week. This means thousands of dollars are being kept within our communities, a fantastic outcome for all involved.
The depots are equipped with automated counting machines and friendly staff to make the process quick and easy. All eligible containers, sized between 150ml and 3 litres, carry a ’10c’ label.
But the real game-changer is the CDS Vic North App. Available for download, the app lets users register their bank details, receive digital refunds instantly, donate to a charity, and even check container eligibility through an inbuilt scanner. Of course, you can still get paid in cash if you want.
