Ardy Bushcats mean business for next season

NEW goal posts at Ardmona Recreation Reserve are in the ground and looking great.

Despite going into recess for the season, Ardmona Football Club is busy preparing for the following year by ticking off some ‘club goals’, so they can kick more goals next season.

The original goal posts were removed earlier this year to be replaced with long-awaited, refurbished goal posts provided by Intrack Systems Australia and funded by Ardmona Football Club secretary, Justin Arrowsmith.

The former posts were as old as the club itself, which reached their centennial year in 2020.
Unfortunately, the Ardy Bushcats made the difficult decision to go into recess this season, citing hardships securing enough players or coaches to participate.

“Netball was ready to play but the league law says they cannot play without a footy senior team,” said Mr Arrowsmith.

This year is proving to be a pivotal time to strengthen the Ardmona FNC, after the pandemic took a profound toll on community sports.

Updating amenities at the Reserve is a high priority of the treasurer and club members.
