At the forefront of women’s health

ACTIVE Spine Centre places a strong emphasis on maximising one’s health through better brain-body connections.

With everyone living such fast-paced lives, a focus on a holistic approach to one’s health is imperative, especially to women who often bear the brunt of the mental load and often don’t prioritise their health. While the whole team at Active Spine Centre care about the health of women and everyone in general, three members of the team have a keen interest in women-centric health issues.

Dr Jen has completed a Masters of Clinical Chiropractic and is a member of the Chiropractors’ Association of Australia. Graduating in 2009 from RMIT Bundoora, she was presented with an ‘Excellence in Chiropractic Science’ award.

“I really enjoy treating patients of all ages. I am passionate about advocating the potential benefits of chiropractic care and the overall health benefits taking care of one’s spine brings,” said Dr Jen.

Dr Julia is a graduate of RMIT University with a double degree in Health Science and Applied Science (Chiropractic).

“I enjoy encouraging others to take an active role in improving their wellbeing. Spinal health and its impact on greater health is such an important message,” explained Julia.

Dr Julia has particular interest in the benefits of chiropractic care during pregnancy, and in managing neck pain, headaches and migraines.

Rachel is a new member of the Active Spine team and graduated with distinction from Endeavour College of Natural Health with a BA of Health Science (Naturopathy).

She believes Naturopathy is not about a quick fix, but a lifelong change.

“I believe in the importance of collaboration between western and different complementary medicine practitioners to create the best outcome for our patients.”

Dr Black has grown the centre to three locations, Shepparton, Seymour and Nagambie. The Shepparton branch is located at The Butter Factory Complex. The team can be contacted on 5831 2934, on Facebook and through their website www.activespinecentre.com.au.
