SHEPPARTON Marketplace celebrated their 25th birthday on Saturday, with the celebrations proving to be a huge hit with shoppers and retailers alike.
There was fun for the whole family to be had, with face painting and balloon sculptures delighting children as well as a delicious cake that was shared with shoppers, of which not a piece was left after the celebrations wrapped up.
A birthday ‘Selfie Station’ was set up for memories to be captured of the momentous occasion by passers-by, with budding photographers encouraged to upload their snaps to social media and tag them as #Sheppartonmarketplaceturns25.
Shepparton Marketplace also generously gave shoppers who spent $75 at their specialty stores or $150 at major stores, $25 gift cards to be spent within the centre, a birthday gift back to the community after 25 years of support.
There was a twinge of Christmas excitement in the air as Santa’s big arrival on Saturday, November 25 was the talk of the day. His grand welcome parade is scheduled to begin at 10:30am. Santa will commence his welcome tour at the Commonwealth Bank entrance before heading towards Woolworths.
