Hussln Auto Detailing owner Cam Scorey holds the event annually on the anniversary of opening his business. He decided to use the day raise much-needed funds for Beyond Blue.

“Everyone knows someone who has struggled with their mental health and depression, whether that’s you, someone you work with, a friend or a friend of a friend,” said Cam.

“There have been a lot of suicides in the local area and attempted suicides, which made me think of ways to bring people together to help.”

$1,800 was raised in 2022. This year’s target has already been beaten thanks to sponsors who have contributed over $2,000.

Cam hopes to raise $5,000 with a raffle on the day, with $3,500 worth of prizes ready to be raffled so far. There’s something for all ages and interests to be won, including a $200 fuel voucher from Pat & Tina’s, a $500 voucher from Tatura FoodWorks, and more. All sponsors and raffle contributors have been listed below.

The event will see 200m of Hogan Street from Ross Street to Fraser Street closed to accommodate up to 120 cars on Saturday, March 18, 9am to 12pm.

Tatura Lions Club will be cooking up bacon and egg rolls and Fast Brew coffee will donate $1 from every sale. Custom painted skateboard trophies are being made by Lindsay Customs & Restorations, Tatura Panels, Paint by Gashy, Certified Printing.

Raffle tickets cost $5 or three for $10. Any businesses that wish to jump on board with a raffle prize should contact Cam on 0437 897 938.
