TWO brilliantly talented local writers have recently launched their books. Margaret Guppy and Creagh Manning’s stories will take you into two very different worlds but will captivate their collective audiences.

The Night the Moon Fell, written by Margaret Guppy and beautifully illustrated by Jill Riordan is a fantastic children’s book set in the depths of the ocean with some playful whales who befriend the moon when he falls from the sky, which will capture the imagination of young children. With a treasure hunt hidden in the pages to keep readers engaged.

Margaret has been writing for a long time. She has written a family history, dabbled in short stories and is a past winner of the Furphy Literary Award short story competition.

Framed, by Creagh Manning is a gritty crime book set in Melbourne’s vibrant mid-80s art scene and is a perfect read for fans of Peter Temple’s Jack Irish series. the story follows artist Clay Weston whose life is turned on its easel when the model for his latest piece goes missing and her best friend shows up seeking answers.

Creagh is a writer, Poet and long-time artist who’s been working on his craft since the seventies.
