ESTABLISHING a new business takes a lot of hard work, dedication and courage.
Greater Shepparton Business Centre proudly sponsors the Emerging & Micro Business of the Year category in the 2026 Greater Shepparton Business Excellence Awards Proudly Brought to you by Shepparton Club Inc.
This award celebrates new and small businesses in the Greater Shepparton region who have been trading for less than two years and have shown exceptional growth potential, innovation, and contribution to their industry.
Many new and emerging businesses need a starting point or room to grow, and that is where the Greater Shepparton Business Centre, operated by Greater Shepparton City Council, can help.

The Business Centre provides subsidised premises, advice, services and support to new and emerging businesses, assisting them to become established and profitable.
Last year’s Emerging & Micro Business of the Year finalist, Tracey Toy from Guiding with Purpose, operates from the Business Centre, along with a range of other businesses.
Mayor Councillor Shane Sali said new businesses don’t have to do it alone, with a range of supports provided to new and emerging businesses through Council.
“Starting out on your own can feel overwhelming, but no one has to figure it out by themselves,” he said. “Whether it’s finding the right premises, getting practical advice, or just having someone to talk ideas through with, the Greater Shepparton Business Centre is here to help new and emerging businesses get off the ground and thrive.”
Cr Sali also encourages community members to nominate a new or emerging business for an award. For the full list of award categories and to nominate, visit: www.gsbn.net.au/2026-award-categories/
