YOU know there’s something exceptional about an organisation when there are employees who are celebrating their own 40-year anniversaries with the business. Local Lorna Harris has worked at Campbell’s for 40 years, and the key to the organisation’s success lies in the old adage, “quality not quantity,” she said.

On Monday, June 6, the entire Shepparton site-based team celebrated six decades of Campbell’s.

Shepparton plant manager Troy Knox is proud of everyone’s achievements that have made the past 60 years a success.

“60 years is a phenomenal accomplishment, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has played a role in the success of our business in some way or another,” said Mr Knox.

“In the local region, it takes only a brief mention that you work at the Campbell’s site to be inundated with stories of connection – everyone has a friend or family member who worked at the site, visited it, knew someone who did, or just drives past the giant soup can on their daily commute.

“I recognise our team members who have devoted significant periods of their life, many over 25 years, to the factory. In 1962 when the site was first announced, it was hailed ‘a new era for industrial development in the region’ and now, 60 years on, we can reflect with pride on what we have all achieved.”
