SHOPS in the Maude Street Mall are trading as usual and you will notice over the coming weeks that traders are beginning to put up their glistening Christmas displays.
Despite ongoing construction in the area, parking has not been impacted by the works. Shoppers can enjoy complimentary timed parking in the central business district until the end of February 2022.
Construction workers will start holidays soon and the works will be paused in late November in order to reduce disruptions during the busy Christmas season. Workers have been terribly busy ensuring the area is safe to leave for holidays with high traffic expected throughout the vicinity leading up to December 25.
The new mall design will transform the area, bringing back one-way traffic, offering on-street parking, a new playground, and lots of work done to beautify the area, including bringing greenery into the mall.
It is safe to say that this time next year, the mall will be looking totally rejuvenated. Let’s support our local businesses who fill the precinct now so that we can continue to build upon the fantastic retail opportunities found in Shepparton.
