NOW that some major upgrades have been completed on the Shepparton Line Upgrade, it’s time to celebrate the progression of the major overhaul of the regional rail network.
“The upgrades on the Shepparton Line including three brand-new station upgrades are a fantastic outcome for the many country communities along the route – better connecting locals for years to come,” said Member for Northern Victoria, Jaclyn Symes.
Stage 2 upgrades of the Nagambie, Murchison East and Mooroopna railway stations are completed, and a celebration is planned for the first Friday and Saturday of September.
From 10am to 12 noon, family friendly events will be held at Nagambie Station, followed by festivities at Murchison East, 4-6pm on Friday, September 2.
On Saturday, September 3, there will be another celebration held at Mooroopna Station.
Come down with family and friends to mark the headway of this project, which will enable bigger and more modern V/Locity trains to run on the line. There will be free food and entertainment at each of the events.
