Cricket Shepparton finals fever

IN an exhilarating weekend of cricket, the Haisman Shield qualifying finals saw top-ranking teams put their skills to the test, battling for a place in the semi-finals. Top of the table, Waaia held their ground on home turf, narrowly defeating Nagambie with a score of 9/132 to 10/131. Despite a valiant effort, Nagambie has been eliminated from the finals.

Reigning Haisman Shield premiers, Katandra, showed their championship form by overcoming Central Park St Brendans. With a solid score of 10/178, the Eagles outperformed Central Park, who were all out for 106 in the first innings of the match. This defeat sees CPSTB bow out of the finals race.

In another thrilling face-off, Kyabram triumphed over Mooroopna with a score of 10/198 to 10/165. As the highest placed losing side, Mooroopna will still advance to the semi-finals.

The semi-finals are set to be a thrilling showdown with Waaia hosting Mooroopna, while Katandra will take on Kyabram at Katandra. Get keen, Cricket Shepparton fans, the battle for the Haisman Shield is heating up!
