THE Cultural Diversity Week – Art Exhibition Event at The Greater Shepparton Visitor Centre, hosted by GSCC’s Multicultural Engagement Officer Mariola Nebiu, announced the winners last month.
27 artists were displayed at SAM across March and April, with art celebrating and inspired by First Nations Australia and Cultural Diversity, which is the fabric of Greater Shepparton. Nearly 700 visitors at the SAM precinct voted on the artwork, with three lucky winners receiving gift vouchers and one lucky voter randomly selected.
First Place: Where My Heart Belongs – Thushali Premarathna
Second Place: Bridging World’s – Iraqi & Indigenous – Nadyne Al Tuhmazy
Third Place: Hand Painting Different Nature – Maria & Steve Reyes
Random Computer-Selected Voter: Kushan Herath

“I am thrilled to share the results of our recent exhibition and voting process. With nearly 700 votes submitted both online and in hard copy, your artworks have truly resonated with the Greater Shepparton community,” said Mariola.
“We truly appreciate your participation and creativity, which have made this event a resounding success.
“We extend our heartfelt congratulations to each of the winners and thank all participants for sharing their amazing artworks with us. Your creativity has inspired us and the Greater Shepparton community.”
