THE 2020-2021 mouse plague devastated many local farmers after the drought, with not just hay and crop damage but equipment and houses too. With recent reports coming forward about the increased mouse numbers and activity in the region and all over the country, farmers are being urged to stay vigilant and take proactive measures now to avoid a spring rodent breeding boom.

If mouse numbers can be controlled now the breeding season will be much lower, Experts are saying now is the time to bait for mice ahead of winter and continue to monitor, look for signs of damage and keeping a good eye on the results, is vital.
