BADMINTON CHAMPIONS... SHEPP Feathers Champions Trophy Badminton tournament took place in Shepparton on Saturday, with 32 teams competing in the event. SHEPP Feathers Champions Trophy Badminton tournament took place on Saturday, March 16 at Shepparton Sports Stadium. Thirty two teams participated, with 10 teams from Shepparton.

First-place winners were Sanish Sam and Ankur Bhatia. Second place went to Praguna Kapoor and Karan Arora. With Anandu and Tino coming in third. Honourable Members of Parliament Sam Birrell, Wendy Lovell and club ambassador Kim O’Keeffe were present at the presentation ceremony. Shepp Feathers Badminton Club was formed by a group of badminton enthusiasts in 2021, to help locals especially women and children enhance their sporting skills in badminton, support physical and mental exercise and improve social connectedness.

“It was an opportunity to watch the most spectacular shots that Shepparton has ever seen, a true display of talent and skill! Also, the youngsters of Shepparton were presented with a remarkable opportunity to witness live national level matches at their home ground,” said Shepp Feathers president Mr Biju John.
