Legend footy tippers rewarded
FOLLOWING a three-year gap between grand finals, the Goulburn Valley League played its grand final games at Deakin Reserve on Sunday. Echuca Seniors won by a 12-point margin against Euroa. The big dance on Sunday was exceptional for Echuca, whose Reserves, U18s and U17s teams also won on the day.
Shepparton Swans U16s and U15 netball team won against Echuca, and Seymour’s A Grade, B Grade and B Grade Reserve netball teams all came out on top in their matches.
The AFL Grand Final on Saturday, which returned to the MCG for the first time since 2019, saw the Geelong Cats and Sydney Swans battle it out. The Cats won by a massive 81 points.
The end of the footy seasons marks the end of this year’s Adviser Footy Tipping Competition. Will Phillips from Elders Insurance has won the top prize, taking home $1,800 in assorted local gift vouchers from retailers involved in the competition.
Daryl Emmett from GV Carports & Patios has taken out second prize, winning a Weber Baby Q BBQ valued at $359, as well as a $200 meat voucher
Chris Buzza from Bill + Beats café in Mooroopna won third place, earning a $200 voucher.
