Providing practical information and tools to help individuals and families plan ahead, prepare an emergency kit and understand how to stay informed during an emergency, a number of First 72 Hours workshops will be held across Shepparton and online throughout June.
Workshops will run for approximately two to three hours and will focus on preparing households for the first 72 hours of an emergency, including events such as floods, storms, heatwaves and bushfires, all of which can occur with little warning. The First 72 hours of an emergency are a critical period of time when essential services may be disrupted, and emergency assistance may not be immediately available.
