SINCE 1995, KidsTown has been regarded as a local family gathering place. It’s a place many have fond memories of, with over five acres of room to play, learn and enjoy nature. Over 150,000 people each year enjoy a day at KidsTown, rendering it a prime destination for young families.
KidsTown has had a makeover, with a new, colourful entrance sign and easily accessible walkway. Photo ops are on offer with head holes so you can take some fun pictures to look back and remember your day out.
Open from dawn till dusk every day, even when the café is closed, KidsTown Playground encompasses different play spaces for various ages and designated BBQ and picnic areas, rendering outdoor play easy with such a great facility located in our region.
KidsTown is always taking the opportunity to make their park more accessible and fun for everyone, with the toddler area undergoing an overhaul last year and two new sliding track riders installed earlier this year in the monkey bar area. Refurbishments to the amphitheatre have recently started as well.
Last year four outdoor staff were employed through the ‘Working For Victoria’ program, they were busy painting much of the playground and refurbishing picnic tables.
KidsTown have been overwhelmed and very grateful for the local support they have received over the past 12 months as families have kept coming back to KidsTown following restrictions. They would like to thank the community for their continued enjoyment of the grounds and support.
