SHEPPARTON is known for its fruit, and 2020 is known for its pandemic and the tireless work of medical professionals to keep people safe and healthy.

So in recognition of the efforts put in by COVID-19 workers at Shepparton’s GV Health, the Rotary Club of Shepparton Central dropped by the hospital this week to donate 11 boxes of the finest seasonal fruit as a thank you, thanks to Finer Fruit.
Rotary Club of Shepparton Central president, Geoff Dobson, said the club had wanted to acknowledge the work done by the COVID-19 team at the hospital, and felt that a donation of local fruit would be a way to express gratitude on behalf of the community.

“They’ve put themselves in danger and have been under a lot of stress this year,” Mr Dobson said.

“We wanted to acknowledge them in this way and let them know that the community was aware of the work they’ve done for the whole community here.”
