AFTER a successful launch in 2022, Greater Shepparton City Council is excited to welcome back Illuminate Festival to the shores of Victoria Park Lake next month.
The event creates a full sensory experience incorporating lights, music and food in a way that celebrates the region and puts Greater Shepparton on the map as an abundant, dynamic and cultural capital.
“Last year an estimated 20,000 people attended across the weekend, coming from 167 different destinations right around Victoria and interstate,” said mayor, Cr Shane Sali.
“We look forward to once again delivering a unique event and welcoming back visitors to be part of the art and cultural developments of our region.”
This year’s event will be staged across two nights, coming to life at 6pm on Friday, May 5 and concluding Saturday, May 6 at 10pm.
“With the event happening over two evenings, it also presents an exciting opportunity for visitors to make a weekend of it and share the magic of our region’s diversity, experiences and visitor attractions, providing an important economic boost to our local businesses and visitor economy as we continue our recovery from the impacts of last October’s flood event,” said Cr Sali.

Illuminate will feature an awe-inspiring, mesmerising laser light show kicking off at 7pm, 8pm, 9pm and 10pm across both nights!
The full program, including the exciting music line up, will be announced in coming weeks. For more details go to the Shepparton & Goulburn Valley website: www.sheppandgv.com.au/illuminate
