HAVING spent 18 years at The Good Guy’s Shepparton, store manager Rodney Aurthur is stepping into his new role as manager of Scooters & Mobility Northern Victoria this week.
Rodney says that over his career, the greatest highlight has been the friendships he’s made with both staff members and with customers.
“It’s been fantastic to be a part of their lives just as much as they’ve been a part of mine,” he said.
Rodney’s retail career started when he was 20 years old. He says that he has spent a third of his life in the retail industry, and that he wouldn’t change any of it.
Opportunities in the industry have taught him understanding and compassion, and the value of building relationships and being able to help others find products they really need.
“Having a family of my own changed my way of thinking, as it does for most people. You don’t know what people are going through but in my role, I could be a positive person for others and offer a hand.”
“The team I’ve worked with has been the most wonderful team. I couldn’t be more thankful for their compassion, their friendship and their trust,” Rodney said.
“I’d like to say a massive big thanks to everyone who has shopped at the Good Guys. I could have worked there forever and been very happy. I will miss it but I’m excited for this new challenge, managing Scooters & Mobility Northern Victoria.”
